Repairs, Re-Calibrations, Re-Certification
In order to ensure the timely repair of your instrument, we ask that you please follow the below instructions before sending any instrument to Elcometer for repair/calibration.
Important Instructions:
- Fill out the repair sheet linked below.
- Print repair sheet and then place it with the instrument(s) being repaired.
- Failure to follow this step is likely to cause delays.
- Please make sure that when returning an instrument you include probes(s).
- Check batteries, spare probes, and all functions.
Repair Process:
You will be contacted with a repair estimate for an approval once evaluated. Repairs will not be started until approved and a method of payment has been given. You are responsible for return shipping charges.
Charges:
- A minimum charge of $50.00 USD applies for Non-Warranty Repairs.
- Customers are responsible for all shipping expenses.
Certification and Recalibration Services:
Per ISO requirements, measurement equipment should be calibrated or verified against traceable measurement standards at specified intervals. Elcometer, however, suggest as a guide, that under normal usage, gauges should be re-certified every 12 months.
