These extremely durable comparators allow the estimation of surface roughness of either grit or shot blasted surfaces.

Using the Elcometer 125 surface comparators as a reference the blasted profile can be compared to the four reference profile grades in each comparator.

Profiles are recorded in microns.

Keane Tator Illuminated Magnifier - 5x

The Elcometer 127 Illuminated Magnifier (5x) can be used with any of the three surface comparators.

The 3 different surface profiles, sand, shot and grit, have 5 roughness values ranging from 0.5 - 5.5 mills.

Keane Tator Comparator for Sand Blasted Surfaces

The Elcometer 127 Sand Surface Comparator is supplied with 5 profile grades ranging from 0.5 - 4.0 mils.

Designed for use with the Elcometer 127 illuminated magnifier, this comparator has a hole in the center allowing for clear visual comparisons to be made.

Keane Tator Comparator for Grit Blasted Surfaces

The Elcometer 127 Grit Surface Comparator is supplied with 5 profile grades ranging from 1.5 - 5.5 mils.

Designed for use with the Elcometer 127 illuminated magnifier, this comparator has a hole in the center allowing for clear visual comparisons to be made.

Keane Tator Comparator for Shot Blasted Surfaces

The Elcometer 127 Shot Surface Comparator is supplied with 5 profile grades ranging from 2.0 - 5.5 mils.

Designed for use with the Elcometer 127 illuminated magnifier, this comparator has a hole in the center allowing for clear visual comparisons to be made.

Elcometer 129/1 Rubert Grit Surface Comparator

The Elcometer 129 Surface Comparators are available in two models:

• Elcometer 129 Rubert - available in grit and shot versions.
• Elcometer 129 Rugotest - shot and grit profiles on the same block.

Roughness is displayed in both "classes" and "roughness averages" for easier identification and are available in Metric units.

Elcometer Surface Weld Comparator w/ Copy of SP0178 Standard

The NACE Surface Weld Comparator with NACE written standard SP0178  provides for the first time, a means of comparing the quality of welds prior to coating application.

Made from durable T Grade ABS plastic, the comparator comprises of 14 different examples of actual welds, allowing a thorough evaluation to be completed.
