The Elcometer 121-S (Standard) Paint Inspection Gauge (P.I.G.), Dual Metric/Imperial Scale Coating Thickness Gauge: Supplied with an illuminated, integrated graticule, 50X microscope. For use when it is necessary to measure a single layer or multiple individual layers of a multi-layer coating system over both metal and non-metallic substrates.

Includes three tungsten carbide cutting tools for the following coating thicknesses:

Cutter No. 1: 1 - 80 mils

Cutter No. 4: 0.5 - 35 mils

Cutter No. 6: 0.1 - 8 mils

Top gauges have the same functionality as standard gauges and can also be used for cross hatch adhesion testing using optional tools.

Cross Hatch Adhesion Tape | ASTM D3359-22 | Elcometer 99

Elcometer 99 Tape is used to assess the adhesion of ductile coatings to metallic substrates according to the ASTM D3359-09, ASTM D3359-17 and ASTM D3359-22 standards. It may be used for both referenced test methods: ASTM D3359 Method A – X-Cut Tape Test and ASTM D3359 Method B – Cross-Cut (Cross Hatch) Tape Test.

This tape has been batch tested at the factory using ASTM Test Method D3330/D3330M, Test Method A. This method is equivalent to the Pressure Sensitive Tape Council (PSTC) 101 standard - commonly known as PSTC 101. A copy of the batch test certificate relevant to each roll is included with purchase.
